Exam results – ensuring our students achieve their full potential.
As an academy, we work hard to ensure that our students achieve grades that reflect their potential. In 2022 our students excelled, achieving outstanding results across a breadth of subjects.
The table below illustrates our Progress 8 scores for 2022. These are the first set of publicly examined results students have obtained since Trinity Academy Bradford was formed.
Results for 2019 and 2018 are for the predecessor school and a different Multi-Academy Trust. Nationally, results were not published due to COVID in 2020 and 2021.
Progress 8 measures the performance of our students compared to the national progress of students with the same starting points across 8 subjects, as prescribed by the government.
At the end of Year 10 (2021) our students achieved outstanding results in some options qualifications. As this was a COVID year, these are not included in the Government’s published results. They do count for our students and have allowed them to move on to the next stage of their education.
The DfE data therefore looks at an average of 6.7 qualifications per student. In reality, each student gained (on average) 8.2 qualifications.
The below table provides a summary of performance measures including all results and using the 2019 qualification rules and the results excluding qualification taken in 2021 as published in the DfE tables.
