Co-curricular

Co-Curricular and Enrichment

Educational Visits

Each term, students will have the opportunity to take part in an educational visit to a place of interest which complements the students’ studies. These include a diverse selection of trips from theatre visits, local employers and sporting experiences.

In addition, the academy is a regular host to guest speakers to support both students’ academic development, enhance their cultural capital and their understanding of the wider world.

Extracurricular Activities

The start of the term allows students to select their co – curricular club. Students have the opportunity to select a club twice a year, once in term 1 and then another opportunity in term 3, ready to start their new club in term 4.

Clubs are an essential part of the Graduation process for Year 7 and 8 students. In order to Graduate at the end of year 8, students must be dedicated to attend 75% of their co – curricular club. However, that is not the only reasons why students should attend their club. Clubs are a great way for students to make new friends, learn new skills and get involved in activities outside the curriculum.

Below is a list of clubs on offer for terms 1 to 3. If a student wants to change their club, they must speak to their tutor.
