Where do I access the Microsoft Form from to support my child to choose option subjects?
The Microsoft Form will be emailed to parents/carers on Wednesday 21 February 2024.
My child has submitted the form but we have realised we have made a mistake. What should we do?
Email contactus@bradford.trinitymat.org before the deadline for submission (Monday 11 March 2024) and a member of our team will correct this on the system.
What is the deadline to complete the Microsoft Form?
The deadline is Monday 11 March 2024.
Why can my child not pick subjects such as Health and Social Care or Sport?
Students in Year 8 are given the opportunity to personalise elements of the curriculum. Students will be given the opportunity to select further option subjects at the end of Year 9 to study in Years 10 and 11. These subjects are likely to form some of those options available for students to select.
What is the purpose of the creative rotation?
The rotation enables all Year 9 students to continue to follow a broad range of creative subjects to both study and enjoy. The focus of each rotation subject is to develop the skills and knowledge learned in Years 7 and 8, as well as promote engagement. Students will study three of these subjects during Year 9. The subjects will be dependent on the subject they choose in Option A. For example if a student chooses GCSE Art in Option A then they will not do art in the creative rotation.
Why does my child have to make three choices if they only have one creative option?
Whilst we will endeavour to ensure students study their preferred choice we ask that all students put down an additional two choices in the event that we cannot timetable their first choice.
If I have questions about the subject content of the options available, who can I ask?
Please refer to the guidance in the subject choices booklet or watch the subject promotional videos in this IAG section. Students can also speak to their subject teachers in the academy. If you have further questions after having explored these options, please complete the Microsoft Form and a member of the curriculum team will either:
- Reply to you via email
- Contact you by phone
My child would like guidance about how their GCSE options link to their future study and career choices. Is there somewhere they can get this guidance?
If you have any questions about careers advice and guidance then please email the academy on contactus@bradford.trinitymat.org and we will get in contact with you.
